How Can A Raised Area On The Scalp Be Treated?

I use a cpap machine and noticed that there is a concave ridge on top of my scalp from the mask straps. My husband is very concerned about this. Is this serious? The straps are for the nose plugs and are thin and not heavy. Very puzzling and concerning. Do you have any thoughts about this? Thank you.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history you are having irritant dermatitis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid pressure on the affected part.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching and NSAID like ibuprofen for pain.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Thanks.
