How Can A Pimple Scar On The Face Be Treated?

Hello. I ,stupidly, applie dettol (concentrated) on my pimple for four about and it left me with a big pinkish, purplish burn. I can t tell if it is a first degree or second degree burn. How long do you think it will heal? And will it leave a scar since I left the dettol on my face for four hours? Also, can I apply makeup on it after 2 days?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Usually, it will not leave permanent scar over the face. In 2-3 month usually, it will fade by its own.

It's not advisable to apply to make up for a few days over the affected area. I suggest you consult a nearby dermatologist for detailed evaluation. You can post a photo of the lesion to guide you further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
