I have a mid shaft oblique spiral fracture of the fith metatarsal that occurred on a ship in November. It was starting to heal and then was fractured again in January at physical therapy. After that I had a lot of nerve pain for about 2 months. The Dr. told me I did not order weight bearing physical therapy it was a misunderstanding. Went back to him 2 weeks ago and he said it’s healed. However I can’t bare weight on it and still in a lot of pain. I decided to just sit home and wait tell June to see if it stops hurting . I got my X-rays & MRI from the Dr.’s office and want a second opinion. Should I get a second opinion now or wait it out 3 more months & see what happens.
