How Can A Lump On The Chin Caused By An Injury Be Treated?

I fell on the ground while playing tennis for fun (clearly I m not good) and when I hit the ground I managed to land on my shoulder and chin/face being my uncoordinated self... I have a bump on my chin that doesn t bother me necessarily however I m concerned because it s a hard bump atop my jawline. Will this go away?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Most probably it can be a simple hematoma developed following a minor trauma.

Generally, it will settle by itself without any definite treatment.

As of now, you can apply ice packs for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist consult a physician and get an X-ray done to rule out an underlying fracture.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
