How Can A Leaky Heart Valve Be Treated?

I entered the hospital with a severely leaky heart valve, CHF, weak heart and enlarged heart. News to me I ve been healthy my whole life. I work a physical outside job, eat well, work out and was a bit shocked. I ran a 5k just a couple of months ago. The symptoms appeared a week before the ER visit. Now what? I did have cancer (cervical and non hodgekins) when I was 29 and have been cancer free since 2000. I have been healthy since then.....needless to say the doctors were kinda shocked b/c of my age and physical shape, I am female, 41 and weigh 144. I have my first cardiologist visit in 2 weeks, but what can I do now to get my heart in better shape? My job depends on the outcome.

Cardiac Surgeon 's  Response
Im afraid Severely leaky heart valve, CHF, weak heart and enlarged heart usually indicates ,you require surgery. Some medications that decrease body fluid, decrease salt intake and decrease fluid intake can help decrease some of the related issues, but will not fix the valve.
