Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms can be treated conservative with rest for 4 weeks in long knee extension brace.Grade 1 mcl sprain most of the time heals in 3 weeks.

Bone contusions takes 6 to 8 weeks for healing and since 6 weeks has passed pain should start decreasing by now. Meniscus edge fraying can also be treated with rest.

If symptoms are not relieved after 3 month arthroscopy of the knee and meniscus balancing may be done.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Jayesh Vaza, Orthopaedic Surgeon
