How Can A Hydrocele Be Treated?

My dad was diagnosed with hydrocele this week & he is already on medications for that. According to reports, his Beta HCG value is 26.5 mU/mL which is higher than the normal 0-2.5 mU/mL range. Sonography reports suspect a neoplasmic lesion on his right testicle. What diet should he take? He doesn t like too many medicines & it would be great if the HCG level declines naturally. Is this increase because of the hydrocele? What else could be the reason for this?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Elevated beta HCG is indicative of testicular carcinoma. Your USG report also suggestive of suspected mass lesion. So don't go for any natural way to do treatment. I suggest you to consult Urologist for examination and if any mass present than USG guided FNAC or biopsy can be planned for further work up. I hope for the best when you Consult urologist for examination.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
