How Can A Hematoma On The Left Thigh Be Treated?

I tripped and fell 3 days ago. Went to ER soft tissue, no break. HUGE hematoma on left thigh. Had 2 watery blackish green stools , one today, one yesterday. No increase in thigh pain, and bad pain very, mild. Should I return to ER for my watery dark stool

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Hematoma is nothing but a collection of blood underneath your skin or deep to muscles. It is quite common after a fall or blunt trauma. Nothing to worry as it will resolve by it own even without treatment. Most often no treatment is required and it will resolve by it own. You can apply cold compresses for faster recovery. Anti-inflammatory drugs like Serratiopeptidase can also help in healing. Green coloured stools is not related to hematoma and it might be due to gastroenteritis or minor viral infection. Drink plenty of water and take adequate bed rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
