How Can A Ganglion Cyst In The Foot Be Treated?

I have a small bubble on my middle toe/right foot. A podiatrist recently told me it is a ganglion cyst. It causes no pain. Other than ensuring my shoe isn t rubbing it, what can I do to encourage it to go away? Didn t realize there would be a cost. Please disregard my question.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have gone through your description and I can understand your concerns.

Ganglion is a benign(non cancerous) swelling and a harmless one. It wont cause any problem apart from cosmetic problem.
Treatment options are available but recurrence is a problem.
I suggest you to consult an orthopedician and get an X-ray to rule out any bony extension.
It can be treated by simple surgical aspiration, in which a needle is inserted and fluid inside the swelling is aspirated using a syringe.
If the size is large, surgical excision is the best option.

Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
