Hello,
If you still can access the dog and the dog is in good condition after 10 days than very likely that dog was not rabid. If you can not access the dog then the decision on having the vaccine depends also on the chance of rabies infection in the area you live. You will need to talk with your doctor to get this information.

Recommendations say that rabies vaccine should be started as soon as possible when it is indicated, generally within the day of the incident. You can still have the vaccine even though you are late but you should have all the 4-5 doses accordingly and you will need to do a blood test 1-2 weeks after completion of the doses to make sure you are developing immunity.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
