How Can A Canker Sore Be Treated?

So for 4 weeks I ve had this gone rouge canker sore. I m getting it surgically removed in 2 months. It s so noticeable although it s in the inside of my bottom lip. I also wear bottom retainers and that makes the pain 2x worse. What can I do to reduce it or completely remove it. I ve tried staying away from sugary or acidic food but that doesn t help, please help me.

I can understand your pain. Canker sore (aphthous ulcer) generally occurs inside lower lip only. Sometime they cause tingling sensation also. So it creates a lot of discomfort.

The causes of canker sore is thought to be stress or tissue injury or certain foods (mostly citrus fruits which can trigger canker sore)

Bottom retainers may worsen pain in some individuals. So follow accordingly

1. Avoid spicy foods which you were doing already
2. Use hydrogen peroxide wash which will protect your canker sore from becoming infected.
3. Hydrocortisone hemisuccinate 2.5 mg can be used 3 times daily
3. Use antacid tablets like pantop 40mg
4. Take vit-E tablets

Coming to surgical option, Silver nitrate burning of canker is done which is a safe method.
Laser treatment option is there in which laser penetrates the lesion to heal the canker sore without any pain.

Don't worry every thing will go wellThink and carefully opt a good treatment. In my opinion medical treatment is sufficient for you. In case symptoms are severe go for surgical.
