How Can A Bug Bite Infection On The Back Be Treated?

I recently found 2 ticks embedded in me, 1 in my back which apparently had been there for at least a few days which my daughter dug out for me. The other had only been there long enough to get his head in. It now looks infected with puss in it along with a rash and pain. What do I need to do about it? I have been applying antibiotic cream onto it constantly.

Hi,

I think you should continue with antibiotic cream to prevent infection. Also take antihistamines such Benadryl or Citerizine for itching and rush. You should be tested for Lyme disease since ticks can give Lyme.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
