How Can UTI Be Treated?

I have taken bactrim for a UTI in the past and now have given mono/mac. for a UT. I had no ill side effects from the bactrim, but reading about the effects of mono/mac are making me afraid to take it. If I did fine with the bactrim, will I do fine with the mono/mac?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Do not be afraid of taking it. The side effects have been mentioned to help patients observe for any unusual symptom while taking the pill. It is not a must you should have the side effects.

So, continue taking mono/mac as prescribed by your doctor to treat UTI.

Wish fast recovery.
