How Can UTI Be Treated?

What is the best drug for UTI treatment? I returned from China last week and a few days after started having trouble urinating. It is hard to urinate and I need to do so and somewhat painful. When in Asia I carry Cipro but left it in Shanghai. I am drinking apple cider vinegar and cranberry capsules. I am getting sweats and chills from time to time. Big jet lag too. Your thoughts?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Since you are suspected as having urinary tract infection, please get an urine routine, urine for bacterial culture and antibiotic sensitivity, an abdominal ultrasound examination of the kidneys, ureter and bladder. Please do not take antibiotics empirically. Please consume about 3 liters of water every day to wash out the bacteria in the urinary system. Please then consult a Nephrologist or a general physician for examination and advise on antibiotics and supportive treatment.
