How Can UTI Be Treated?

I have a uti that I initially treated with macrobid and azo. I ran temps for 2 days taking Tylenol and Advil. Returned to dr with rash. Gave a shot and changed antibiotics. Fever broke and feeling better. Rash is still red, warm to touch and itchy. Now my lip and cheek are numb and swollen! I took 2 Benadryl. I bought a new brand of cranberry juice but otherwise about same. Any suggestions? Will cal dr in morning.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my clinical experience, the current presentation suggests drug induced side effect, such as allergy with swelling in lips and cheek.

Currently stop all medications, take cranberry juice till you consult your doctor.

In our clinic, I recommend to undertake complete blood count and urine culture to evaluate the intensity of the UTI with best possible agents to cure it.

Wish this information will help you. Do feel free to ask further doubts.
