Thanks for putting your query over here.
For PCOS,its necessary you take the prescribed medicines minimum for 3 months.Trust your doctor and follow the way he/she has advised you.
May I know what your age is?Whether you have got any other medical conditions like diabetes, hypertension?
Also if you are over weight with respect to your height ,you need to reduce it first in healthy way by doing exercise and adopting a balanced diet(diet containing food items from all groups-cereals,pulses,green vegetables, fruits, nuts, oils).
Just keep a watch for danger signs while being on OCP like severe headache, pain in chest, vision problems or swelling around ankle with pain in calf region. Also do regular follow up with your doctor as advised to keep an eye on the complications caused due to PCOS.
Thanks and regards.
