How Can Lactodex Be Replaced By Lactogen 1?

Hi My baby boy is just 1month old.. Due to less of Brest milk I feed my boy with lactodex 1. But it s expensive and I wish to switch over to lactogen 1. Would it be safe for my child to change his feed? Would there be any problems if I do so.? Many people say that lactogen1 and lactodex 1are almost same. Is this true? Please help.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Lactodex and Lactogen are almost same and both are considered safe for infants. You can safely switch to Lactogen in place of Lactodex. Keep in mind that breast milk is always superior to any formula feeds and you can try Lactare or Domeperidone to increase milk secretion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
