As you describe it appears to be the infection, may be chlamydia, or other bacterial.
It may also be secondary to the diabetes
,due to increased blood sugar.
I advise you to consult a dermatologist
for diagnosis and treatment. If sugar is under control it will recede.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms ofloxacin
, and some local antibiotic
