Hit Outside Of My Foot. Its Been Hurting. What Can It Be? Treatment?

I hit the outside of my foot against the edge of the wall hard back in February ~ It has been hurting a little everytime I walk on it .. I don't think it has been getting worse in terms of pain... but I'm worried if it's a fracture or just a bruised bone? ( I'm worried that it could be a Jones fracture? The pain is in the outside part near the pinky but a little more down towards the middle outside edge of my foots)

Hi !
Thank you for your query.

Dear madam,

Well madam if it would have been fracture it would have been associated with excruciaiting pain and swelling . You didnt mention this in your history so it can be assumed that there is less chance of fracture but it cannot be ruled out unless radiological imaging is done .Plus persistence of pain for such a long time indicates that you need to see an orthopaedic surgeon for further advise .

Hope you are satisfied with the answer.
If you have any further queries feel free to ask.
Wish you good health.
Take care.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hello
Thanks for posting your query.
It could be soft tissue injury or fracture. Without xray it is difficult to differentiate fracture from others. So I suggest you to get it evaluated by an orthopaedic surgeon for detailed examination. You may get an xray of foot under his/her guidence.
Hope this will help you
Regards.
