History Of Lump In Vagina And Genital Warts. Now Have Whiteheads On Vaginal Lips. Help

3 1/2. Years ago I found a lump inside my vagina I went to the doctors they diagnosed bathilon cysts I had antibiotics which took the inflammation down but I still had tiny lump I went back to the gp she thought it might be a wart or ulcer I had been with boyfriend for 5 years I had genital warts 16 years ago and have never got them back . It seemed to go 2 weeks later I went for a swear and swabs for infections all ok. I have now noticed lots of white like white heads on my vaginal lips you can't squeeze them . I recently had another smear all ok . The only thing I have changed over the years is I do a lot of exercise and sweat alot and I also remember around the time I discoverd the tiny lump me and my boyfriend had used a flavoured lubricant and it seemed to burn up inside me. I have had genital warts and these don't look like them. I hope you can help . Thank you

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

In case of recurrent infection of Bartholin's cyst you have to rule out both Gonorrhea and Chlamydia from your vaginal fluid by smear and culture tests. In the absence of these diseases, sometimes one may need a surgery to remove the glands or marsupilization to get relieved from the problem.
White heads may either be a hair folliculitis if it is seen outside or a superficial skin infection with Staphylococcal infection.
Genital warts can be diagnosed only by inspection and palpation or with some investigations.
Kindly meet your Gynecologist they will be able to help in this regard rather than a GP.
Dr S.Murugan.
