High Ldl, Advised Exercise, Diet. Overweight, Have Lupus, Get Tired, Severe Headaches. Examination By Cardiologist Required?
I have high ldl and my family physician said I need to exercise and watch my diet. I'm about 20 lbs. over weight and have lupus which I have believed may have been why I suddenly get tired or severe headaches. When I try to get on an exercise regime over the summer, I've become very exhausted at times, so I'm very reluctant to exercise regularly. Now that my blood test confirms my ldl has mildly increased, I know I need to exercise consistently. Should I be thoroughly examined by a cardiologist first though?
Dear Sir/ Madam Thanks for writing to HCM. You have not mentioned your profile (age gender & comorbidities). It is always good to have a prescription from your doctor before starting an exercise program. It need not to be a cardiologist always. Your internist (medical specialist) can also give you an exercise prescription depending upon his assessment. He will feel so, he will refer you for cardiology assessment. Sincerely Sukhvinder
