High blood pressure, controlling on diet. Have very warm face. Due to high BP?

I have high blood pressure ~ usually 138/84 sometimes higher 142/92. I m working on diet and exercise. Diet is going better than excercise due to plantar facitis. I want to avoid mediciation as long as I can. I have been experiencing a very warm face in the morning and wonder if it is related to high blood pressure. Its usally when I ve had trouble sleeping that night.

Thanks for posting your query.
In 99% cases of high blood pressure, there is no cause and such cases are labeled as "Essential Hypertension".
In 1% cases, hormonal causes are responsible and includes hypo/hyperthyroidism, pheochromocytoma and cushing's syndrome.
Sensation of warm faces may be a part of hyperthyroidism and you should go for thyroid profile check up.
Though your blood pressure is not in higher range, this level could be maintained by diet changes.
Taking low dose diuretics is not a bad option and after all your blood pressure must be in controlled range (120/80 mm Hg).
Take care,
