Hi. My wife is a 77 yr old veteran. She went to the VA with chills & fever after taking a flu shot. She also had an aortic valve replacement about 9 yrs ago. She was prescribed Tamiflu for the flu symptoms and cephalexin 500 mg 3 x per day for possible urinary tract infection, and to make sure it didn't affect her aortic valve. My question is this: she still has chills and fever and only has one more Tamiflu left to take. She complained of being cold, had chills. She was in bed with blankets when I took her temp. I got 103.2 and then 104. Should I be concerned? Should I do something about the fever?
