Hi, My Son Has Had An Inner And Outer Ear

My son has had an inner and outer ear infection for the last five weeks, he is now onto his fourth lot of antibiotics and the GP has prescribed Ciproxin HC drops for the outer ear infection, however he has a perforated ear drum and the drops cause him extreme pain, the GP has said that they are safe but I am not so sure, can you please advise if I should continue to use the drops?
