Hi! My 7 year old is currently taking Banzel, 400mg bedtime and Depekote Er, 750mg bedtime. The current situation is trying to win off of the Banzel and get him solely on Depekote. I am very disappointed in his Nuerologist. Dragging his feet wile I constantly have to call for updates on the weaning plan... Anyway, he is absolutely drunk! I am so very frustrated because it is interfering with his academics and he can barely walk straight! He has come off his morning dose with no increased seizures... Is there anything we can do with this lethargy u til we get off the Banzel completely? Should I be alarmed about interaction?

Also, he was on the sprinkle Depekote and a lower dose and much better! His Dr is being adequate about staying on the ER.... Thoughts? My son only has sleep problems and does well during the day except for the, now, lethargy!
