Hi Doctors
I've been infected with dengue for a total 4 times at the age of 17, 30, 41 & 42, now i'm 43.
The third time soon after dengue infection (41 age), i got pcp or severe pneumonia & almost died, but i recovered. Some doctors say i may be having hiv if follow books. 1 year later (42 age), i got dengue infection for the forth 4 times followed by pneumonia again, but this time i recovered from pneumonia within 1 week compared to 3 weeks previously.
It's obvious that my immune system been weaken by the 4 times dengue infections. However many doctors who prefer follow book said that i need do hiv test due to pneumonia.
i've done research about hiv tests. hiv tests actually cannot detect hiv virus directly, instead they detect antibodies. At this moment, there are more than 70 known occasions our body will produce antibodies similar to the kind of HIV antibody! How can HIV tests be accurate and reliable in this way?? It's so easy to get false positive! Should i do the test?
As the results of those events, i become weaken nowadays, short breath is common.
