Hello, I have a constant taste of metal in my mouth, causing me to no longer be able to enjoy food. It is so unpleasant. I have had this for about 6-8 weeks, sometimes worse than others. I have also been getting severe cramp like pain in my mid abdomen. Often during the day I have a strange sensation in my abdomen, not actually painful, but rather odd, and echo like, if that's makes sense.
I do have a Gall stone and am supposed to be having my gall bladder removed soon, but my GP has told me this is unrelated. I have taken anti reflux mess with no effect. I do have Hep C and have been drinking more alcohol than usual lately but not every day. Maybe twice a week. My liver function tests are usually normal. I checked with my dentist and although I lost a tooth recently he said there was nothing wrong that would be causing this metal taste.
