Hello! I Am 18 Years Old And Am In Good

Hello! I am 18 years old and am in good health. I recently have been running a lot, and ever since a fall during a ski trip, I have noticed an ache in my left knee. I figured it was just an ache associated with exercise and assumed it was nothing to be concerned about. However, I was sitting in class the other day and all of the sudden the pain became sharp and excruciating. I could not move my leg, or any part of my body for that matter, without it hurting really badly. I could not stand and I felt totally immobilized. Shortly after the pain started, my lower leg and my foot started to feel like they were falling asleep, and this sensation eventually spread up through my hamstring. After about an hour or so, I felt the feeling come back to my leg and the pain subsided as if nothing had happened. I went to MedExpress and the doctor told me, without looking at my knee at all, that I was fine. He gave me an anti-inflammatory and sent me home. Any information you could give me about what may have caused this would be greatly helpful. Thank you!
