Headache, Sore Throat, Fever, Rashes All Over Body, Virus?

Last week I started having a headache and slight sore throat . It turned into a fever later that night and reached 104. It came down to 101- 102 and remained for about 3 days. When the fever subsided I had a heat like rash all over my body (worse on my hands, knees, and face), and a numb toe . Now my 4 year old son has a fever that reached 104 and is around 99-101, complains of burning eyes, head ache and numb toes. He has no rash yat but his fever has not broken either. Is this a virus such as fifths disease or some other virus or something else?

Hi

Both you and your son seem to be have developed some form of a viral illness.
See i would like to tell you that only based upon the clinical history, it might be difficult to comment of the cause of the viral illness.
It surely need more analysis and investigations.
But i would advise both of you to take adequate rest.
Increase the intake of liquids especially water.
See a nearby physician for further assessment.
