Headache And Bleeding In Nose. On Treatment For Heat Exhaustion, On Medication For Bladder Problems. Any Connection?

Hello Dr Samuel, I was on a project in the heat and know I was not getting enough water and felt ill. I have been treated for heat exhaustion before as I am on the medication oxybutinyn for bladder problems. This was yesterday. today I feel well, but I have had a headache and my nose keeps bleeding, profusely. Are the nose bleeds and heat exhaustion related? what should I do?

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.
Headaches are related to heat exhaustion. You probably have migraine, which are getting aggravated by heat. Similarly, nose bleeding is also related to heat, which makes the mucous membrane of nose fragile, easy to bleed.

Best wishes,
