Having Diarrhea After Eating Fish Tacos. Is It Due To Food Poisoning?

Hi, This past Sunday I went to dinner at a local restaraunt. Had 2 drinks and Fish tacos. About an hour after we came back to the house, I began having explosive diarreah. I called the resteraunt and they said that it normally takes 24 hours for it to show up. Is that true? i think they are just saying that to avoid any action on they part My email is YYYY@YYYY
