Have Strained Neck, Neck Pain. Taken Muscle Relaxers

I woke up about six weeks ago with a strained neck. It got better with rest and muscle relaxers but I did some pressure washing recently and now my neck hurts ten times worse than before. I can't look up at all and looking to the left hurts horribly but this time it also hurts to swallow on my right side. It is not a sore throat the muscles hurt. Started back on muscle relaxers and anti inflammatory meds last night but have no relief. Worried I might have something seriously wrong. Why would it hurt to swallow from a strained neck?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
You must go to ER.Pain on swallowing has something to do with food-pipe (oesophagus). Also you need x ray for the neck for evaluation of spondylitis.
