Have Small Bumps On The Leg Which Is Spreading

For about the past 2-3 weeks i have had one or two small itchy bumps behind my left knee and once in a while ill notice one on my arm. But now there are several (about 10- 20) small itchy bumps behind my left knee. They are not red, unless scratched, and dont seem to have any fluid coming out after itching. I am not sure what this is. I have never had any skin issues before. They dont itch all of the time. And i just went to feel them again and seem to be less raised. I am unsure of what to do. I do have cats and at first i thought maybe it was flea bites but i have checked both animals, not to mention i have had fleas many yrs ago and these bumps look nothing like flea bites. I then thought maybe it was bedbugs since my friend just recently had them and i adopted a cat from her. I checked for bedbugs and found nothing so i have no idea what this could be. Please help! Thank you!

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be due to:
1. Viral exanthems
2. Urticaria
3. Ringworm (tinea) infection
4. Contact dermatitis

Symptomatic relief can be obtained with:
1. Application of Calamine lotion for symptomatic relief.
2. Intake of antihistamine preparations like Allegra
3. Application of topical steroid & antifungal ointment.
4. Antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infection.

If symptoms still persist, kindly visit a Dermatologist & get a proper clinical examination done to find the exact cause.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
