Have Sever Anxiety Pain. On Medication Effexor, Seroquel, Xanax And Ambien. Gained Weight. Solution?

Does this cost money?
I have severe anxiety pain and have not left my home much at all in the past 12 years. Luckily we live on a farm so I go outside some. I am on lots of meds for depression and anxiety. Effexor, seroquel, xanax, ambien. I have gained weight and really hate it. I use to work out a lot and would like to if I did not have this problem. Any suggestions? :)

Hello.Of the drugs that you are taking, Quetiapine is the major cause of weight gain.Venlafaxine too cause weight gain.Your psychiatrist should consider lowering the dose of both drugs.Another option is to replace the drugs by others of similar efficacy but less weight gain.Quetiapine can be replaced by Paliperidone and Venlafaxine can be replaced by Citalopram.
Go to your psychiatrist to evaluate lower doses or replacing drugs.
I wish you good health.
