I had an ultrasound 6 years ago ... it showed nothing ... had a soft tissue x ray and ct scan of the neck 6 month ago ... it showed nothing .. had a ct scan with dye of the chest and it found multiple lung nodules ( I am under care of a pulmonary doctor ) .. but I still have no clue what it is ... no weight loss , smoker , no drug abuse , 45 year female ... the it causes pain when messed with or if my head is tilted to chest ...

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query. The lump just above the collar bone is probably a lymph node. The lymph node could have increased in its size due to infection. If they remain or increase in size even after two weeks the cause of it has to be investigated. You will be prescribed a course of antibiotics following which lymph nodes will decrease in its size. If they do not you will have to do an FNAC of the lymph node. FNAC is a procedure where needle is introduced into the lymph node and sample to taken from it for analysis. After the reports are obtained treatment would be initiated. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
