Have Redness On Palatoglossal Arch And Sore Throat. Quit Smoking. Should I Be Concerned?

I have redness on my palatoglossal arch. I quit smoking about 2 months ago after smoking for about a year. I have been ill with a sore throat but my whole family got that. Now I am feeling better (but the redness is still there). I am a 39 year old female. Should I be concerned?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hi and thanks for the query,
nothing to worry about.
it indicates infection of the tonsil.
once the tonsil heals completely the redness will go away.
do warm salt water gargling 4 times daily, avoid cold foods and air conditioning.
you will feel better.
regards,
Dr Rajkishori.
