Have Pain In The Ear Due To Infection In Ear And Sinus

I have been diagnosed with a sinus and ear infection. I took a full prescription of Azithromiacin. I felt better for one day. Then flew home and have not improved. Did the flight cause me to be I'll again? Should I ask for more antibiotics. Possibly amoxicillin. Please advise. I am using a vaporizer and drinking fluids. I still have pain in my ear and face and am coughing up mucus. I feel weak when I stay up for very long. Thank you for your help?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this sinus and ear infection. Flights can cause some pain but it rarely persists days after the flight. Because of the pain and other symptoms like cough with mucus production, I will suggest that you get evaluated again and the treated assessed to see whether it worked or not. The decision to prescribe more antibiotics and which to be prescribed would be best determined after examination and maybe testing. a primary care doctor should be able to do this.

I hope this addresses your query fully. Feel free to ask for clarifications and more information if need be. I wish you well. Thanks for utilizing our services, we very much appreciate it.
