Have Pain In Buttocks Area Due To Fall, Spasms Occur. Had Injury To Coccyx. Related?

6 months ago, I slipped & fell, landing in my buttocks. Any time I sit or drive for extended periods, I am in severe pain in that area, below my spine, some spasms occur, and it takes days to recover. Having had an injury 15 years ago, to my coccyx, I wonder if it is related, though it feels more excruciating & different.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A fall on coccyx 15 years back is unlikely to cause pain in that area.
The pain and spasm after extended periods of sitting and driving can be due to musculoskeletal pain associated with strain and stress.
You can get a X-ray and MRI of the spine.
Any soft tissue injury can be determined by MRI of the spine.
A soft tissue injury can be managed conservatively by rest and pain killers.
Consult an orthopedician for clinical examination, relevant investigations and management.

Thanks and take care
