Dear friend.

Thanks for sharing your concern.

you can start antibiotics and analgesics for three days,if you can visit your dentist ,then it is the best.

Medication will give you immediate relief but it is short term relief.

when the tooth is half erupted in the jaw, then it is best to get it extracted.
wisdom teeth causes recurrent infections, due to its location. it is difficult to clean during normal brushing.

Therefore, meet your dentist and get it extracted soon ,if possible.

meanwhile you can do antiseptic mouth rinsing, after each meal.
this will give you immediate relief.

Hope it helps.

For further query please let me know.

Thanks.

Take care.

Hi
Welcome to HCM
I would like to tell you that your wisdom teeth is impacted.
Its better to get it extracted as early as possible because it will lead to further problems.Even difficulty in cleaning in that area will lead to pericoronitis which means inflammation at that region.
Start with analgesic & antibiotic for 3 days.
Do betadine gargles twice a day.
Consult your dentist & get it extracted.

Take Care

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

The above mentioned symptoms are usually associated with impacted wisdom tooth, the flap overlying which is inflammed.

A detailed clinical as well as radiological evaluation of the tooth is necessary to plan the treatment.

Impacted tooth has to be either extracted or flap overlying tooth has to be removed ,depending on the position of tooth.

Take care.

Hi
As per your details, your wisdom teeth seems to be impacted.
Infection in flap covering wisdom tooth(Pericoronitis) causes pain and swelling.
May be your wisdom tooth is applying pressure on the adjacent tooth which is responsible for your symptoms.
Visit a dentist , have a x-ray of this tooth to see the alignment ,and rule out whether its extaction will be normal or surgical.
Follow antibiotic prescrition to control infection.
Use antiseptic mouthwash twice daily.
Take care
