Have Knee Locking And Pain. Have TKR. Is Operation Only The Option Or Is There Any Other Option?

3 years post TKR - 1 year post infection & clean out - knee locking - very painful - have to wait to relax it then can only straighten it out cannot bent it until it cluncks in place. Only happens if holding my leg as if you were drriving (45 degree angle?) Also have some redness & warmth. y MD has been treating for cellulitis - he is concerned re the skin and worried I may need 2 step operation. I am worried re the pain and locking.
Any help with dx? Thanks
