Have High BP And Cholesterol. Taking Amlopress. Spinning Head, Tiredness. Reason?

Hii doctor. My husband is suffering from high Blood pressure and cholesterol. He is controlling his diet and salt intake. But every weekend he suffers from very high B.P and severe tiredness. His head spins and he is unable to do anything. He is under medication and is taking Amlopress AT 5 mg since a long time. He even exercises every evening after coming from office. He plays badminton for 45 minutes. He does not consume alchohol neither does he smoke. What is the reason for this. And there is a pattern that he is most affected on sundays and Monday when he is the most relaxed at home. Please advise. I even give him 1 raw garlic pill crushed early in the morning with water on empty stomach. I fail to understand that even after taking so many precautions why is it getting even worse. Please advise.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

The body's balancing mechanism is in the inner ear. An ENT (Ear Nose Throat) specialist is the one to see. They have special tests to confirm or exclude the contribution of the ear...
Postural hypotension, anaemia, arrhythmia and so on may be responsible...ECG, blood pressure – lying and standing, blood counts and other investigations may have to be done
If there are no clues, he has to be followed up by a neurologist.
It is intriguing to have the problem only at weekends – Social or environmental influences may be responsible / he may benefit from psychological assessment and assistance?

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
