Have High BP. Headaches, Neck And Jaw Pain. Negative Stress Test. Taken Netroglycerin. Take High Salt Food?
Hi, my blood pressure usually run about 115/70. Recently, I have been having episodes with headache, neck and jaw pain, marginal change in vision, change in skin color, and sob. I went to the hospital during the first episode and BP was 170/100 --- protocol for MI was done and I had immediate relief with nitroglycerin. My stress test showed moderate st changes in leads 2 and 3 and Radionuclerotide stress test was negative. I am continuing to have symptoms especially after I eat salty food. (Yes I have reduce salt from my diet), but am still running into high salt foods that had no problem since my episodes. Is there a name for this? Is there a standard of mangement?

I am afraid that the notion of increased symptoms after salty meals is not something which goes with hypertension (high blood pressure). Moreover if salty food is causing symptoms, it should cause with all kind of salty foods and not with certain specific things.This must be something else, probably related to the food items themselves.
you should refrain from all kind of high salt diet and not the specific ones, if you have been diagnosed as hypertensive. Since your Radionucleotide stress test is normal, there is no anginal heart disease.
I would like you to see your physician along with list of food items which cause you symptoms and Discuss.
