Hi

Thanks for your query

Candibiotic also contains clotrimazole, which is an antifungal, commonly given against yeast infections.
So ear drops you are using are are against fungal infection only, so according to me no need for changing it.

Don't worry you will fully recover with these drops, and this problem can not lead to deafness at all, it is commonly seen during humid conditions.

You can plug your ears with some cotton while taking head bath, it will prevent fungal infection further and help in recovering early.

Regards.

Hello,

Welcome to HCM.
You seem to have a fungal infection of the ear. You could use an antifungal drop like Candid ear drops. Keep the ears absolutely dry, don't let any water to enter the ears. Moisture and humidity will aggravate the fungal growth.
Don't meddle your ears by using ear buds and instilling oils.
The important thing to do would be to get your ears cleaned by a specialist since you have difficulty in hearing. The fungal growth needs to be thoroughly cleaned.
Hope the above suggestions help.

Take care of your health,
Dr Vaishali Mehta

Hi,

Just for the benefit of doubt and FYI, Candibiotic ear drops is not purely antifungal. It contains chloramphenicol an antibacterial besides clotrimazole.
Antibiotic ear drops predispose to further fungal growth and hence are not advisable in fungal infections of the ear. Candid ear drops on the other hand contains clotrimazole, an antifungal. Hence I advised you to use Candid ear drops.

Regards
