Have Fever, Frequent Urination, Pain In Anal Region. Diagnosed Fistula Near Anal Region. Need Advise

sir,

age 65,male, wt78kg ht.5ft9inchs, ,at udaipur,rajasthan.

Present problem,

Fever ,101degree C.Since 10th oct,frequent urination with slight resistance,pain ,low flow.,pain in anal region while sitting no appearance of any absess.

Past History.

Ultrasound on 13.03.2012. On 1.10.2012

Prostate measures 3.5x 2.8x 2.7 volume14cc 4.2x 3.8x 3.4 volume30cc

urinary bladder prevoid 125cc. Postvoid 20cc 210cc postvoid 60cc

Liver,gallbladder,pancreas,spleen,Kidneys are normal Other organs are normal.

On 09.02.2013

Diagnosed Fistula near Anal Region.

Absess was treated,AFB smear,negative,FNAC-pre Anal region-result -Negative for malignancy/granuloma.

Absess got no further reappearance till date.

It is good to read the detail history given by you ! the fistula might be having some infection and the infection of fistula is common, so I would advise you to start the antibiotic, the complete tissue penetration would require to autolyze the infection part and for that augmented amoxicillin would be the best choice, this is empirical treatment, If I would be your doctor then I would ask for complete blood count and urine test, with the culture sensitivity test of the material taken from the fistula, these will clear the diagnosis, you can discus it with your treating doctor for any further query you can ask to HCM have nice day.
