Have Doubts About The Distance Between Waste Disposal And Residential Area. Safe If 400 Meters?
Hi, I wanted to know what should be the minimum distance between waste disposal and residential area. What should be the minimum distance where one can reside around a trash disposal area of a city? Upto what distance can the ground water be polluted in such areas. Is it safe to reside around 400 meters of such a area?

hi, for solid waste disposal, can be 25 to 50 foot from the residence. the recipient should be closed one and should be cleaned very often, say once in 2 days. and it should be disposed far off from the city by trench method or area method etc. for liquid waste, better to have underground drainage system and it should be atleast 100 feet from the source of drinking water. this is called cone of filteration.
