Have chronic pain and redness on penis after intercourse. What to do for this?

hey doc
I have had chronic pain and redness on areas of my penis after intercourse for months. I am certain it is not herpes because of its correlation to intercourse, and because it semi goes away. I am married and faithful. It is always in the same areas. it never really goes away completely, but does get better with time.
