Have Blood In Stool, Weight Loss, Diarrhea. Taking Medicines For High BP
I have experienced blood in my stool for almost a year. I initially thought it was hemorrhoids, however over the past six months or so, each time I eat, within an hour I am in the bathroom with diarrhea. I have had extreme weight loss (over 50lbs). I am on a medication for high blood pressure (hydrochlorothiazide) which I understand is a natural diuretic, however I had been on that medication several months before this started happening. Should I be concerned? My email address is YYYY@YYYY . Thank you!
After reading your post, I would like to advise you that you should not take your symptoms lightly. You should get yourself clinically examined and investigated properly.
Your symptoms are not related with the medication you are taking.
You should get following investigations done :- 1. Stool examination for Occult blood. 2. Colonoscopy. 3. CT-scan Abdomen. 4. Complete Blood Count(CBC).
I would also advise that you should get yourself clinically examined by a Gastro surgeon.
I hope this is helpful to you. Thanks.
