Have Been Undertaking Dialysis By Getting Admitted In A Hospital. Is Taking To Another Hospital Advisable?

hi my name is Sandra and I just have a quick question..... my uncle is in the hospital and since this morning his been waiting for a dyalisis but the doctor hasn't stop by to see him and they don't want for us to go to another hospital what can we do? cause we also went and talked to the director of the hospital and he said the same thing that if we move him to another doctor its gonna be our responsibility so we just left him their but they still wont do anything for him

Hi Sandra ! This is a difficult situation. May be the doctor assigned to see your uncle is busy in seeing some more serious patient requiring immediate attention. I do not know what is the duration of your waiting for the doctor to come and see him. Is the doctor assigned for your uncle treated him earlier also. If so, then it is worthwhile waiting for some more time as he knows the complete history of your uncle and anyone else will start the work up right from the beginning again. It is a routine in any hospital to get the responsibility form signed by the attendant of patient if they are leaving the hospital of their own. However, if you strongly feel that your uncle is being neglected , then it is worthwhile taking a second consultation from some other hospital.
