Greetings !

Well to wean off clonazepam you got to ask your doctor to reduce 0.25 mg dose every 5 days until you reach a total daily dose of 0.25 mg and then start taking the same 0.25 mg dose every alternate day for 1 week and thereafter taking the same 0.25 mg dose once in every 3 days for 15 days and then stop the drug completely.

Yes escitalopram and metoprolol is a better combination than clonazepam both in terms of efficacy against depression, anxiety and hypertension as well in terms of side effects.

I hope this helps.

Wish you all the best.

Regards.
