Hi I have just had a skingraft to the bottom of my left toe where, I was in hospital for 5 days bedrest and then a week at home with no friction or walking on my toe, only on the side of my foot to the toilet and shower, in the shower I had to keep a plastic bag over it. I had a meeting with the specialist and nurse on Tuesday past and the nurse poked it with a pair of plastic tweezers attached to a guaze, it was very sore. She also said I could wear my shoe which is a black sports shoe. I thought she was joking at the time and today I tried to get my foot in the shoe, today being Thursday two days after my visit, no way would it go in. I was also told I could now get it wet in the shower after two weeks of not getting it wet at all, and when the district nurse came during the week she put some sort of gel on it and I was no longer having any of that put on according to the specialists nurse. I am a bit confused and rather scared to get it wet so yesterday when having a shower I put an small plastic corner over it and taped it. Any advice would be great.
